The
Gallery San Lorenzo of Milan has launched a prize for young artists "Barlettani Patrick Award" from the theme: 1989-2009 Twenty years after the fall of the Berlin Wall many walls are still to be killed? Many participating artists (the turnout was massive from most parts of Italy) among these was Francis Liggieri of the Collective Rapid, which has now been announced as having been chosen among the 30 finalists for the award.

For the opening of new headquarters in Milan's Galleria San Lorenzo (Via Sirtori 31) will be set up NEXT_GENERATION the exhibition, the work consists of the 30 finalists who have passed the selections Barlettani Patrick Award on the theme:
"1989-2009 Twenty Years After the fall of the Berlin Wall, how many walls are still to be killed?" Choosing
over 180 participants, these young artists, have developed, with different media and techniques, "their walls," emphasizing the accents and setting up its most divisive and discriminating of contemporary society.
The result is an exhibition of very high level, where the twentieth anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall (November 9, 1989) is the starting point.
Gallery San Lorenzo, which has been operating in the continuous and constant research and development of young artists, has launched this initiative, which will be repeated in the coming years, creating a prize named after Patrick Barlettani, a founding member of CASA ART SAN LORENZO, died prematurely, and with his commitment and refined talent, has always supported the research and consequently the work of "new forces at work in the field of visual arts.
The exhibition opens to the public on October 17 at 18'00 and will run until 28 November, the day which will be presented in the catalog published for the types of Zeta Scorpii and where it will be declared the winner of the Patrick Barlettani.
The jury called to express their giudizio è composta da:
- Maurizio Vanni (Direttore del Lu.C.C.A., museologo, critico, storico dell'arte e curatore)
- Paolo Bacchereti (Presidente di Art Club, socio fondatore di Casa d'Arte San Lorenzo)
- Massimo Barlettani (Titolare della B&A Agenzia di Pubblicità, esperto in comunicazione)
- Giorgio Gherarducci (Gialappa's) (Collezionista, Autore)
- Giovanni Frangi (Artista contemporaneo)
oltre al pubblico che potrà esprimere il proprio giudizio attraverso una scheda personalizzata.
I visitatori potranno votare fino al giorno 27 novembre
Il Premio Patrizia Barlettani consiste in una mostra personale nei locali della Galleria San Lorenzo di Milano nel 2010.
